We made it to Montana! Lindsay and I are in Kalispell, MT visiting with her grandmother, aunt and uncle and their 5 kids. It has been pretty low key, watching a couple movies and playing some games. Most of my family is boys so it is definitely an experience seeing a family of 4 girls. We visited the Blue Moon tavern last night which was fun. There was karaoke and we heard pretty much all depressing cowboy western songs. Supposedly when Lindsay was young, that is where all the adults went to get away from the kids. I guess she has officially moved into adult hood in this family :)
We stopped somewhere near Spokane on the way over and met up with Melody, a friend of Lindsay's. More kids, and checkers with shot glasses of beer. It was short, but it was a nice stop on our way over to Montana.
We are waiting for the weather to clear up so we can either go up to glacier national park to a family cabin or to try to have some enjoyable camping between here and our next stop in Billings, MT. We bought some rope for a slackline and we haven't even gotten the chance to set it up. Where is the sunny and 70 degrees that we thought we would get as soon as we crossed the cascades?! Checking the weather, it looks like its coming, but just about the same time we planned on heading out of the area :(
Billings will be a short stop and then we are planning on stopping by Rushmore and the badlands in South Dakota. After that we might head down through Chicago, or maybe up through Wisconsin and the upper peninsula of Michigan.

Do not take oral sugery lightly!
I doubt I have ever been this stressed out. The only possibility is maybe sometime during school where I was dirt poor and trying to manage going to school full time pulling all-nighters. In less than a week Lindsay and I have moved out of our apartment, held a garage sale, bought everything for the trip (including a car!), quit our jobs, visited with all of our friends, fit a foosball table into our car at 3am in the morning, and have been making frequent trips to the airport before dawn and after dinner for Lindsay's job. Lets just say it has worn us thin.
Anyway, most of this has been accomplished without a hitch. Lindsay however had increasing pain in her new found molar and opted to try to get it surgically removed before we leave (appointment Thursday, surgery Friday, and leaving Sunday). She was under the fun impression that she would be fine and ready to go run errands afterwards (understatement of the year). After an afternoon of rest and relaxation she has mostly recovered, but I drove home someone that could barely stand, form complete sentences, or feel any part of her mouth. She asked me three times on the way home where she was, and if it was all over. I worry sometimes about my ability to handle these kinds of situations, but I think this one went okay, especially since I was thoroughly unprepared. Back to reality, and getting ready for the trip.
